Hazbin Hotel's Creator Has Seen Your Season 2 Bingo Cards — And She Has Good News

The much-anticipated second season of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel launches on the streaming platform this week, and audience theories has been intense.

Season 1 presents a diverse group of personalities living within the afterlife, sets them at odds with songs about their clashes, and establishes tense rivalries and emotional bonds that fuel fan obsession.

The community's expectations for the new season differ greatly, but certain threads emerge over and over: Could Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Might we learn more about the binding agreement affecting Alastor the Radio Demon? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Naturally, I don't produce the show with audience demands specifically in mind," the creator stated earlier this year. "But I believe that me being a fan of my own show means there's a lot of it just naturally. I also am eager for these things, and I want some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She reveals her big-picture plan is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have already been green-lit by Prime Video and A24, which finance the series.

That might mean viewers have to wait years for some of the biggest payoffs — but they could be shocked at how quickly the new season moves, and how much of what they're waiting for happens now.

"I believe people are going to be highly satisfied," the creator notes. "There are several debut moments. I think we receive some incredible disclosures, some fascinating backstories, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience additional musical numbers from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

She's certainly aware of the guesses and hopes about season 2 — particularly in the form of audience prediction charts.

"I've seen a couple people make a prediction grid about the new season," she mentions. "Obviously I can't post it, but I've already completed a few items, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season premieres on the streaming service on October 29.
